# Save a view and jump back to it

> Add a bookmark for where you are in the file and return to it with one click.

## Goal

Mark places in a Figma file and get back to them later.

## Before you start

- Bookmarkly installed in Figma.

## Steps

1. **Go to the spot** Move to the page, position and zoom level you want to remember. Select an element if the bookmark should point at one.
2. **Add the bookmark** Click Add in Bookmarkly, or open Figma Quick Actions and choose Add Bookmark.
3. **Jump back** Click the bookmark in the list. Bookmarkly takes you to its page, position and zoom level.
4. **Name it** Open the bookmark's small menu, choose Edit, type a name and click Save.
5. **Search the list** Press Ctrl+F (Cmd+F on a Mac) in the Bookmarkly window to search your bookmarks. Esc closes the search.

## Tips

- Bookmarks are stored on your device, separately for each file. To give a teammate your bookmarks, use Export & Import.

## Result

Your bookmarks are listed in Bookmarkly, and each one returns you to its saved view.

## If something goes wrong

- **I cannot add another bookmark.** -> The free plan holds 6 bookmarks. Delete one you no longer need from its small menu, or use Pro to lift the limit.

## Common questions

### What does a bookmark store?

The page, the view position, the zoom level and the selected element, if there is one.

### How many bookmarks can I save?

The free plan holds 6 bookmarks. Pro lifts that limit (a list holds up to 140 bookmarks).

### Where are my bookmarks stored?

In Figma's client storage on your device, separately for each file. Teammates do not see them unless you export and share them.
